After a short orientation at ASYV, we had a week and half long Christmas vacation. We got to explore Kigali and learn our way around but since there isn't too much to do there we decided to take a trip to Gisenyi. Gisenyi is a small town located near the border of the Congo. The drive there was incredible and there was a new exciting view around every corner. The best was the view of the volcanoes that dot the border of Rwanda and the Congo- this is where the gorillas live! Here are some pictures from our relaxing time on Lake Kivu!
